Canine Coach: Cassondra Renee
"Pet PAWrent Canine Care Class"

Class Description:

It’s time we face the truth - grooming is often a stressful time for your dog.  Groomers try to make it as pleasant an experience as possible, but the reality is that clients rarely see or hear just how nervous or naughty their dog actually was.  We post photos of great grooms or dogs with their tongues out, appearing to be happy, but sometimes that’s actually a sign of stress.

In this class, you’ll learn how to read & understand what your dog is actually communicating, how to help them experience grooming as a neutral or even enjoyable part of life with desentization & reconditioning techniques, good table manners (& commands), & the proper care for their coat (yes there are many different coat types & therefore many different ways they are each supposed to be cared for).  We’ll briefly touch on some common hair & skin issues & how regular grooming care can actually topically treat some conditions.

8c2648_df84dfe141f74e49a30d087691a6fc4b~mv2

Your dog doesn’t have to be a puppy to learn how to experience a soothing, calm grooming routine & after attending this class, you’ll never have to be annoyed with receiving an unwanted new dog hairstyle or stressed out dog again.  If you’ve been getting progressively worse behavior reports from your groomer, if you notice your dog seems stressed with grooming, if you just got a new-to-you dog (puppy or rescue), if your dog has a double or curly (AKA high maintenance) coat, or if you’d like to have a cool-looking style but haven’t been able to seem to be on the same page with your groomer, then you’ll want to attend.  This will drastically improve your relationship with your dog & with your groomer.

"Communicate Like A Professional - How to Handle Client Conversations Like A Boss"

Class Description:

Grooming is a very personal business.  We build rapports with clients & come to love their pet as we love our own.  So it’s easy to blur the lines of communication as though they’re a friend.  This is one big mistake that not only discredits you as a professional, but also gets quite hairy when there’s a discrepancy, ESPECIALLY through text messages!  If you’re tired of asking social media groups how you should respond to a client, if you’re tired of getting pushback when you raise your rates, & if you’re tired of fighting the stereotype that all you do is play with dogs & you don’t have a real career, then this class is an absolute must for you!

Key Takeaways:

Learn how to make the right impression to your client so they begin to see you (& our industry) as a legitimate profession so they treat you with the respect you deserve.  Attendees will learn how to professionally communicate what makes them unique, rate changes, business changes, difficult dog situations, explain accidents & injuries, & how to have many other difficult & challenging conversations with clients in ways that don’t make them second guess themselves, feel guilty, or have to ask colleagues what they would say so they can have prompt & professional answers to make their day & business run smoother.

Canine Coach: Cassondra Renee "Fear Free 101"

We have the best career on the planet…except when we have to deal with the scared, nasty, & stressed dogs, right? WRONG! There is a way we can help make their experience much more comfortable which will help make your job happier & way less stressful for everyone. What is Fear Free & why does it matter? Does it really make a difference? In this class, you’ll learn the basics of the ideology of creating a completely stress-free environment for your furry best friend. If you’re a groomer or salon owner, this is the place to be to help make your life, job, company, & employees happier! Plus, adding a Fear Free experience to your way of operating can significantly help you increase your profits! If you like the idea of working smarter, not harder, then you’ll want to attend this class so you can finally stop dreading THOSE dogs when you see them on your schedule
